Iselin, NJ, November 14, 2017--Each year, approximately 1.7 million hospital-acquired infections occur, and 70% of these are related to the use of indwellling medical devices. Proper infection control measures reduce not only illness, but the costs of these illnesses as well, according to Carl Genberg, BSc, JD, CEO of N8 Medical LLC, at the Superbugs & Superdrugs USA 2017 conference.

Successful infection control efforts should encompass not only national and federal efforts, but individual efforts as well. Clinicians play an important role in this, Genberg concluded.
