Association between helicobacter pylori infection and growth outcomes in children: A meta‐analysis

Researchers conducted this meta-analysis with the aim to ascertain the correlation between H. pylori infection and growth outcomes in children.

  • Researchers searched PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library, as well as two Chinese databases, Wanfang, and CNKI, and identified 29 studies that provided data from 9,384 individuals.

  • Findings support the association of H. pylori infection with adverse growth outcomes in children, mainly height-for-age Z (HAZ) scores.

  • While investigating linear growth disorders in children, H. pylori infection might be considered.
