Researchers assessed the impact of 5-line signs in staging, progression, and prognosis of peripheral lung carcinoma. A sum 132 individuals with peripheral lung carcinoma were recruited in the study (93 were men and 39 were women, with an age range of 27 to 82 years and a lung nodule range of 0.98 to 8.75 cm). Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that the sharpness of the 5-line signs was associated with N and TNM staging of peripheral lung carcinoma. It was noted that the sharpness of the 5-line signs has certain impacts on the prediction of invasion, progression, and prognosis of lung carcinoma, especially of small lung cancer (≤ 3.0 cm).
