This work was planned to assess the effectiveness of and obstacles to antibiotic streamlining to amoxicillin monotherapy in bacteremic pneumococcal pneumonia. As per findings, during bacteremic pneumococcal pneumonia (BPP), streamlining to amoxicillin was insufficiently implemented. Obstacles identified were severity and first–line antibiotic combination. Amoxicillin monotherapy appeared safe in patients with bacteremic pneumococcal pneumonia
