The University of Missouri has an opening for a Physician Faculty in Radiation Oncology.  The applicant will have the opportunity to provide clinical radiation oncology services, as well as lead the growth of research and scholarly activities related to oncology and cancer.

Our equipment includes Trilogy and True Beam linear accelerators. In addition, we have a brachytherapy program.  Greater than 600 new patients undergo radiation therapy each year including both adult and pediatric patients. 

The successful candidate will have proven leadership experience in both clinical radiation oncology and cancer research. Current and prior research funding including NIH and industry-sponsored clinical trials desired. The ability to grow a Radiation Oncology focused research program expected.


  • MD/DO, Board-certified in radiation oncology. For the purposes of this application, board-certified/board eligible are considered experienced.

Preferred Candidates Qualifications:

  • Current rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
  • Experience in research administration as there is an opportunity to have a role in the overall research administrative infrastructure in the School of Medicine.
