This virtual interactive course is led by health experts from the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine.
Expert faculty will help participants understand how stress both causes and worsens health conditions. They examine the physiological impacts of stress and the influence stress has on disease and symptoms. They'll also help participants refine their knowledge and skills in using interventions - lifestyle changes building long-term resiliency - that offset the harmful influence of stress. Importance of sleep, proper nutrition, relaxation techniques, adequate social support, exercises reducing stress will be reviewed. Participants will also learn how to guide patients towards these behavioral changes that promote health. This course is ideal for clinicians in practice settings across mental health, primary care, nursing, social work, psychology. The course includes an array of resources, videos and other materials to guide participants through their learning experience.
Weekly call-in times allow faculty to hear and respond to participants' questions directly, and an interactive discussion board lets them post their questions and interact with peers from across the US and around the world.
