This PERT Consortium®'s annual two-day symposium is designed for practicing clinicians who regularly care for patients with acute and chronic pulmonary embolism (PE), as well as those who are interested in studying the pathophysiology, epidemiology, diagnosis, prevention, medical and interventional management, novel treatment paradigms, and outcomes of PE. The meeting agenda has been expanded to include topics and presentations surrounding COVID-19 and the unique association of this virus with Venous Thromboembolic Disease (VTE), and specifically its impact on incidence, diagnosis and unique management strategies of PE.
